Veterans Recovery Corps exists to ensure that disabled veterans can transition into life after service with dignity, stability, and real support. We focus on accessible housing, community-based resources, and long-term planning that honors both veterans and their families.
Our Vision
We envision fully accessible communities built specifically for disabled veterans and their families—places where every home, street, and shared space is designed with mobility, independence, and connection in mind.
These communities will include:
- 2, 3, and 4 bedroom homes designed for accessibility and family life
- A community garden for shared food, activity, and connection
- A community gym with adaptive equipment and safe, inclusive spaces
- A community center for programs, gatherings, and support services
- Fruiting trees throughout the community, prioritizing nourishment over decoration
- A small medical center that can be staffed by VA medical personnel and volunteer clinicians

After a combat injury left Michael with limited mobility, daily tasks in his split-level home became dangerous and exhausting. He struggled with stairs, narrow hallways, and a bathroom that could not accommodate his wheelchair.
